About THE #SmallWins Foundation

At #SmallWins, we believe that every step forward—no matter how small—is worth celebrating. Founded in 2022 by Mark Fairchild, a liver transplant survivor and advocate, the #SmallWins Foundation is rooted in gratitude and driven by compassion. What began as a personal journey through adversity has become a national mission to bring hope, dignity, and support to individuals facing medical and recovery challenges.

Our Story

After being diagnosed with end-stage liver disease and navigating a system that often stigmatizes conditions like Alcoholic Liver Disease (ALD), Mark found healing through a hospital that embraced whole-patient care. The experience inspired him to give back and to ensure others feel seen, supported, and empowered during their own health journeys.

Our Mission

#SmallWins provides barrier-free microgrants to youth undergoing transplant treatments, supports substance use recovery, and partners with transplant facilities across the country. Through advocacy, mentorship, and volunteer work, we challenge stigma and elevate the human stories behind serious health conditions.

What We Stand For

  • Compassionate Care: Advocating for whole-person treatment that respects dignity and humanity.

  • Access & Equity: Offering financial and emotional support where it’s needed most.

  • Breaking Stigma: Raising awareness about addiction, liver disease, and recovery—one story at a time.

  • Empowerment: Celebrating small victories that lead to big transformations.
